THE LEADING AESTHETICS CLINIC IN BARNSLEY

Lip Filler Barnsley

Lip injections, or lip fillers, are the injection of hyaluronic acid based filler material into your lips using a needle or cannula. Hyaluronic acid is a substance already found naturally in your skin.

How Do Lip Fillers Work?

Hyaluronic acid in fillers work by attracting water molecules like a magnet to create the “plumpness”. As we age we naturally lost volume and fillers can help replace this volume loss.

Do lip fillers hurt?

We use both a numbing cream and our fillers contain lidocaine, which is what a doctor uses when performing minor surgery to help numb the area for a short time.

Will I Look Dramatically Different After My Lip Fillers?

Initially there is likely to be some swelling and possibly some bruising which will resolve within 2 weeks. 1ml is commonly used which is only a tenth of a teaspoon. Natural looking lips are my specialty.

What Happens At My Consultation?

During our consultation we will have a chat about what has brought you here and what areas you are looking to improve. I will then make recommendations based upon what I see and what you have discussed with me. I will answer any questions or concerns you may have during the consultation.

Do lip fillers last?

Fillers degrade slowly over time. We offer a range of fillers which last from between 9 - 18 months.

How long before I can wear lip liner or lipstick again?

You will be able to wear makeup after 24 hours generally.

Is it true that your lips feel hard once you’ve had lip filler?

No, lips shouldn’t feel hard but they may feel different from before.

What types of fillers do you offer?

I use a range including brands like Juvederm, Restylane and Revolax. All the products I use are on prescription from a UK based pharmacy ensuring they are genuine and have CE marking.

Are lip fillers safe?

Yes, lip fillers are safe in the hands of a competent, experienced medical professional. They are not without risks which we discuss as part of the consent process but having a doctor perform your fillers means you are in the safest hands.
